Communication Protocols
Communication protocols are formal descriptions of digital message formats and rules. They are required to exchange messages in or between computing systems and are required in telecommunications.

Application ProtocolThe application layer is a layer in the Open Systems Interconnection (OSI) seven-layer model and in the TCP/IP protocol suite. It consists of protocols that focus on process-to-process communication across an IP network and provides a firm communication interface and end-user services.

COMMUNICATION CONTROL AND ADDRESSING LEVEL PROTOCOLSThe IPT Communication Control and Addressing Level contains the protocol; Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP). This protocol can be found in level four (Transport) of the OSI model. The transmission of most data across the internet are performed by the two protocols, TPC and IP.

Transmission ProtocolThe Transmission Control Protocol (TCP) is a core protocol of the Internet protocol suite.
It originated in the initial network implementation in which it complemented the Internet Protocol (IP). Therefore, the entire suite is commonly referred to as TCP/IP. |
